The Charmetemps estate
I — History
Charmetemps lies in Pommiers, in Beaujolais, in the Pays des Pierres Dorées.
In 1996, Caroline and Jacques Charmetant began farming four hectares of vines organically. Charles Compagnon and his partners took over this legacy: Charmetant became Charmetemps.
II — Vineyard & cellar
Oenologist Jean-François Coquard and Sylvain Brondel guide the work in the vineyard and the cellar. Plots and grape varieties are vinified separately, in concrete vats or in barrels.
